Our paratransit drivers are trained to safely transport passengers in wheelchairs to their destinations, including doctor’s appointments, dialysis centers, stores—just about anywhere they need to go. All paratransit drivers are also cross-trained to transport non-wheelchair passengers.
All paratransit drivers must meet state and federal requirements and must successfully pass criminal background checks, drug and alcohol testing, and driving record checks. Drivers must also acquire a license from the city of Toledo.
We provide extensive training, including first aid and CPR instruction, classes on the proper handling of seniors and disabled persons, and on-the-job training with an experienced paratransit driver.
We offer both full-time and part-time opportunities for our paratransit drivers.
Our policy is to provide equal employment opportunity to all qualified persons without regard to race, creed, color, religious belief, sex, age, national origin, ancestry, physical or mental disability, or veteran status.
